After Greek Class This Week
I went to hear a guy perform. I love how much live music there is here in Austin. There always something all of the time. Excellent. Check him out, 5 Ways From Sunday:
I Went To A Drag Show
Yup, that happened. I’ve never been to one before but Dathan invited me to attend, so I figured why not? Plus, it was a funraiser for a good cause. How can one turn that down?
So…I’m generally always down for anything…and…as a planner / strategist / ethnographer / curious person…I was intrigued. I love learning new things and putting myself in situations that are pretty foreign to me. I feel like we can all learn something from everything…I definately learned alot from this evening. (=
Took some video of course, check it out:
Effects Of Decision Making
…and on that note. After posting this, I was looking back on my archived posts…I love going back 1 year, 2 years, etc. to the day, to see what was thinking about at this exact time, one year prior. Looking at my post from last year, it seems like decision making is something I like to think about on the 25ths of April… (;
En Los Heights
So, en el espíritu del tema de esta post, voy a escribir in Espanglish (=
Bueno. Ayer, Do512’s Twitter tuvo un contest:
Entonces, claro que I entered! Y guess what??
iiYo gané!! (and yes, tengo mas de un Twitter account – isorpresa!)
Entonces, fui con Dathan anoche to see In The Heights!! Actualmente, queria verlo porque la semana pasada vi un especial on PBS de ITH. Creo que sabemos I’m all about process, entonces it was great a ver el proceso y la cuenta de the show, y después actualmente ver the show en vivo!
Plus, the música de In The Heights is actually pretty darn good. Frecuentemente, la música de musicals starts to sound lo mismo, pero esta show – es diferente. Aquí esta mi canción favorito:
I also loved the show porque…creo que sabemos también que yo soy un Mexicana honoraria, entonces me encanta todo el espanglish, y referencias culturales – felt like I could relate somehow – tan mucho que un psuedo Mexicana pudiera. (=
Facebook + South Park
If I ever teach a social media class, I think showing this video will be the first thing I do.
I’m not a South Park watcher; however, I’d say there’s alot to takeaway from this clip.
